Matchroom Boxing has announced another bout for its September 4 event. Undefeated WBO Latino lightweight champion Alan Chaves (22-0) will face Eridson Garcia (23-2) in a scheduled title fight.The event will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, with former unified heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2-1) taking on Damian Knyba (17-1) in the main event.

Alan Chaves enters the bout as the undefeated WBO Latino lightweight champion. The Argentine boasts a perfect record of 22 victories, including 19 wins by knockout. He captured the WBO Latino title with a unanimous decision victory over former contender Xolisani Ndongeni (34-8) and has successfully defended the belt five times since. Earlier in his career, Chaves also held the WBO Youth Lightweight title. His résumé includes notable victories over Miguel Madueno (31-5), Pablo Vicente (24-4), and Freddy Fonseca (32-8-1).
Eridson Garcia enters the fight with a record of 23-2. During his professional career, he captured the WBA NABA Super Featherweight title by stopping Cristian Perez Hernandez (12-5-1) in the third round. Earlier, he also won the North American Boxing Federation Super Featherweight championship. Garcia is coming off a unanimous decision loss to unbeaten Andres Cortes (25-0). Prior to that setback, Garcia had put together an impressive six-fight winning streak.
